## Never-Hostage Guarantee

- **Static codes are free forever.** Make, style and download static QR codes without an account. They hold your content directly, never expire and never pass through our servers.
- **Dynamic codes keep redirecting.** Every dynamic code keeps working on every plan, including after a downgrade, a failed payment or a cancellation.
- **No pausing, no ads.** We never pause your codes over billing, show ads or interstitials, or send your scanners through a QRdx page.
- **Limits only stop new things.** Going over a limit blocks creating more. Existing codes and pages keep working, and you can still change where your codes point.
- **Export everything.** Download any code as SVG or PNG, export its scans as CSV, and read your codes through the REST API, on every plan.
- **12 months' notice.** If QRdx ever shuts down, you get at least 12 months' notice and a documented path to run the open-source app yourself.

## FAQ

### What happens if I cancel?

Nothing breaks. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then your account moves to Free. Every dynamic code keeps redirecting and every scan is still counted: that's our Never-Hostage Guarantee. On Free you can't create more than the Free limits allow, and analytics show the last 90 days.

### What happens if a payment fails?

Your codes keep working. If the subscription lapses, your account follows the Free limits, exactly as if you had cancelled. We never pause codes, show ads, or send your scanners to a QRdx page because of billing.

### Do scans count against a limit?

No. Scans are unlimited on every plan and we never pause a code because of traffic. The only scan caps are the ones you set yourself on a code (Pro and Business).

### Why do I see prices in ₹?

Visitors from India see prices in Indian rupees: Pro is ₹199 a month or ₹1,499 a year, Business ₹599 a month or ₹4,999 a year. Checkout charges customers in India in ₹ and everyone else in US$, whichever currency you browsed in. Use the switch above the plans to change the display currency.

### Can I switch plans or billing periods later?

Yes. Open Manage subscription in your settings to change or cancel your plan in the Polar billing portal. Moving to a smaller plan never turns off existing codes, pages or domains.

### How do teams work on each plan?

Free accounts can't create teams. A Pro team has up to 3 members including the owner; a Business team has no member limit. A team's limits follow the best plan among its owners, and existing members stay if that plan changes.

### Can I self-host instead?

Yes. QRdx is open source under the AGPL-3.0. Run it with your own Postgres database by following the self-hosting guide; the plan limits are defined in one file that you can change for your instance.

### Who handles billing and taxes?

Payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh), which acts as merchant of record and handles sales tax, VAT and GST. QRdx never sees your card details.
