Bitly
Shorten a QR code's link with your own Bitly account, on bit.ly or your branded domain.
What it does
Connect Bitly and the Website type in the QR editor gets a Shorten button. QRdx creates the link in your Bitly account (in your default group, on the domain you pick) or lets you pick one you already have, and the QR code encodes that short link.
Because the code holds the Bitly link, you can change where it points later in Bitly and see its clicks there; the printed code stays the same. Settings → Integrations → Bitly shows your groups, domains and recent links.
Set it up
- 1
Open the Bitly integration in QRdx
Sign in, then go to Settings → Integrations → Bitly.
- 2
Sign in with Bitly, or paste an access token
Click Enable to approve QRdx in Bitly. Or create a generic access token in Bitly (Settings → Developer settings → API) and paste it. Either way the token is checked with Bitly and stored encrypted.
- 3
Shorten from the editor
Choose the Website type, enter the address, click Shorten, then create a new link or pick an existing one. Bitly chooses the back-half; changing a link's destination later needs a paid Bitly plan.
