Refunds & Cancellations
Last updated
Summary
- Cancel any time under Manage subscription in your settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then your account moves to Free.
- Your dynamic codes keep working after you cancel, on every plan. See the Never-Hostage Guarantee.
- We look at refund requests case by case. Email support@qrdx.dev.
- Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record, and refunds go back to your original payment method.
Cancelling
- Open Manage subscription in your settings. It takes you to the Polar billing portal.
- Cancel the subscription there. You can also change plan, switch between monthly and yearly, and update your card.
After you cancel:
- Your paid plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. We don't charge you again.
- Then your account moves to Free. Every dynamic code keeps redirecting and every scan is still recorded. Analytics show the history the Free plan includes.
- If you're over a Free limit, you can't create more until you're back under it, but you can still change where existing codes point, archive them and export them.
Deleting your QRdx account also asks Polar to delete your customer record. Cancel any subscription first.
Refunds
Subscriptions are paid in advance for each month or year. We look at refund requests case by case, for example if you were charged after forgetting to cancel, were charged twice, or couldn't use the plan because of a problem on our side.
To ask for a refund, email support@qrdx.dev from the email address on your account with the date of the charge and the reason. If we agree, the refund is issued through Polar to your original payment method. How long it takes to reach you depends on your bank or card provider.
AI art credits aren't money and can't be refunded, but credits for failed generations are returned to your monthly allowance automatically.
Your legal rights
This policy doesn't limit any right your local consumer law gives you. If you're a consumer in the EEA or the UK, you may have a right to cancel within 14 days of buying, which can end once you start using the paid features with your agreement. Indian consumers keep their rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Merchant of record
Polar sells QRdx subscriptions as merchant of record. It processes payments, charges sales tax or VAT, issues invoices and handles chargebacks under its own terms. If you have a billing problem, please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank, so we can sort it out quickly.
