Free Ethereum QR Code Generator
An Ethereum QR code holds your wallet address in the EIP-681 ethereum: format, optionally with an amount of ETH and a gas limit. Scanning it with a compatible wallet opens a transfer to your address with those values filled in.
Ethereum addresses are 42-character hexadecimal strings that are easy to mistype, which makes a QR code the safest way to share one at events, on invoices or on donation pages. The code contains only your public address; private keys and recovery phrases must never go into a QR code.
How to create a Ethereum QR code
- 1Copy your address (starting with 0x) from your wallet and paste it in.
- 2Optionally enter an amount in ETH and a gas limit.
- 3Scan the preview with your wallet and check the address and amount.
- 4Download the code as PNG or SVG.

Ethereum QR code format
Format
ethereum:<address>?value=<amount>e18&gas=<gas limit>Example
ethereum:0xfb6916095ca1df60bb79Ce92ce3ea74c37c5d359?value=2.014e18- EIP-681 amounts (value) are in wei, the smallest unit: 1 ETH is 10^18 wei. This page converts the ETH amount you type by adding the e18 exponent, so 0.05 ETH is written as value=0.05e18.
- gas is a synonym for gasLimit, a suggested limit the payer can edit. A plain ETH transfer uses 21000.
- EIP-681 can name a network with @chainId (for example @137), but this generator doesn't add one, so wallets use their current network.
- Wallet support for EIP-681 parameters varies; test with the wallet your payers use.
Ethereum QR code FAQ
Can I request USDC or another token?
This generator creates native ETH transfers. Token requests need the token contract and a transfer function call in the URI, which this form doesn't build.
Does it work on other EVM networks?
The address format is the same on networks like Polygon or Arbitrum, but no chain ID is added, so the payer must pick the right network in their wallet.
Is it safe to share?
Yes. The code contains your public address only. Never encode a private key or recovery phrase.
